My friend Jason over at his blog, highlighted for fun this video of beat boxing, and seriously this is one of the best examples of mobile technology I could think of, and it’s fun as well. How mobile is it, it is a human based form of emulation that rocks! Watch the Video and enjoy your weekend!

Psst, hey buddy, wanna buy a phone, it fell off the back of a Telstra Employee!
I really had a good laugh today when I saw this article, but it probably just says something about the Australian, relaxed point of view, and any Telstra employee’s bravado and pride at knowing they now have the Biggest, fastest 3G network in the world. We know it’s all about size, packet size don’t we? Sorry, it’s very hard to not be gauche and distasteful, when talking about Australian customs. It’s customary to brag, and Telstra’s got a big Win and a big Fail to deal with all at once.
“Telstra today launched the world’s fastest mobile broadband service, ushering in a new era in real-time mobile communications that will bring major benefits to customers, innovation and business productivity. The CEOs of Telstra, Ericsson, Qualcomm and Sierra Wireless jointly announced a new 21Mbps peak rated mobile broadband modem, Telstra Turbo 21, would be available to customers on Telstra’s supercharged HSPA+ network, the Next G network, on 23 February. Peak network speeds will increase to 42Mbps later this year.”
Even greater than the network speeds are the speed that telstra employees can be pick pocketed, and not Just any employee, and I’m sorry but only Gizmodo have given it the stick it deserves,
Apparently Telstra’s CEO, Sol Trujillo, was swinging it with the boys at MWC today when his protoype HTC Windows Mobile phone was pickpocketed. Way to leave all the company secrets out like that, dude.
The stolen HTC device (either the new Touch Diamond2 or the Touch Pro2) was sporting an early build of Windows Mobile 6.5. The Touch Diamond2 or the Touch Pro2 will not be running Windows Mobile 6.5 when it is released, but will be running Windows Mobile 6.1 instead. [Herald Sun]
You know in Oz when you get a cheap deal on something you say “It fell off the back of a truck”, but this is just tragic, I wonder if I can find the phone on Ebay???

Quad Core iPhone and Firmware 3.0, The Rumour Mill.
Whilst we’ve all been astounded by the Palm news today, even the larger sites are praising Palm, and of course we are all overloaded by everything flooding out of CES. We seem to be forgetting, that quietly, in another corner of the United States, MacWorld is spinning quietly on its axis.
MacWorld hasn’t provided any stunning surprises, except for one jaw dropping rumour. A Quad Core processor for the iPhone. Somehow that makes me think of something like this

Windows 7 for Free… Well some pain included!
Everyone’s waiting for the new version of Windows to emerge, and hoping it will erase the Vista fiasco, as XP did to ME. Recently it came to light that if you attended certain conferences, you would go home with an advance copy of the operating system.
Who isn’t ready for Windows 7? That wiser, stabler, more streamlined OS with Vista’s good looks but an even prettier Start button and an alleged 15-second boot time? Heck, even Bill Gates is excited to get on to the next version. You can get your hands on a “pre-beta” version of Windows 7 by attending the Professional Developer Conference (PDC) in LA October 27 to 30, or the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC), also in LA shortly after, from November 5 to 7. Go get them, and then report back to us with some new info. [Vista Blog;]
So if you’re available, and have the connections, you can get your Windows Fix. Although what sort of fix it is I can’t say, cool or retro, I am really hoping that there’s a light at the end of this tunnel.
Whether this be an alpha or beta, it’s going to be a coup for Microsoft, but will the OS live up to the hype? With the advent of the “netbook” and a move by Apple to run one OS on all of it’s devices, will Windows 7 be the Windows Lite that has been rumoured. A Microsoft OS with a much more efficient and compact core. I suppose we’ll find out next month, but if you had the next big thing, how would you present it. I hope this is an example of how not to do it!
Will a corny video be the herald of the newest Windows OS?click the image above to go to the you tube page. Microsoft’s not really calling us all Kevin Bacon wannabe’s!

The Challenge! Change is good?
Coming to terms with change, disruptions or any deviation from your personal routine can be hard. Today, the builders took possession of the kitchen, and we are in coping with what we’ve got left mode.
I will admit, that I’m a bit, little, accustomed to a routine, and the work that has started today offers me a cornucopia of things to stress about.
I know God’s looking after it

Well they’re here!
Ok, that might be a bit dramatic, but participants in order 614 for 2008 arrived yesterday. So they settled in to the college, I think and they had a day of training today, which included them all having community lunch. Not in the sense of it, they sat together and got the lay of the land. I’ve only met a couple of the boys, so far, so I can’t say much more than that. The only analogy I can use, is rabbit in a spot light, I find it hard to relate now to being confronted with our regulars for the first time.
If you remember Geoff and Melissa, there little boy Alex was dedicated last weekend, it’s really beautiful to see them with Alex, Geoff is such a proud Dad, and Melissa seems to be revelling in motherhood.
If you remember Peter Lewis, Peter has been singing in the worship team for a while. He signed up as an adherent member of the Salvation Army last weekend, with news that He’s going to Tasmania to live. It was awesome to see him happy, there’s some Holy Spirit action going on there!
This weekend we’ve got some visitors from New York. I don’t know the extent of the territory in the states that they command, but the Territorial Commanders for New York are coming to Church this Sunday at 614, as well as our TC’s, The Knaggs. It’s a Yank Fest. I’m looking forward to it actually.
